Introduction

Mangoes are a tropical fruit they are also a drupe, which means they have a single large seed or stone in the middle. They are a great source of magnesium and potassium, both of which are connected to lower blood pressure and a regular pulse. Furthermore, mangos are the source of a compound known as mangiferin,  It is very rich in vitamin c with its taste which early studies suggest may be able to reduce inflammation of the heart. Growing Mango

These trees can tolerate a variety of soil types. But a sandy loam that’s light and well-draining is best. The soil pH can range from slightly acidic to slightly alkaline. 

Duration and Season

Planting of mango is normally during the month of July to August and also in the months of February to March for proper yield and maximum development. Growing mango in a clayey soil can be very hard in the beginning but can bear more fruit when it is well established.

Sowing and harvest period

Mango trees bear fruit about six years after seed sowing. Saplings usually take 3 to 5 years to bear fruit. Mango fruit matures 100 to 150 days after flowering. Let fruit ripen on the tree for the best flavour.
